Northern Colorado Intimate Portraits | Miss S
I feel more and more comfortable with each shoot. This indoor experience was no exception; I had very little nerves.
As my self confidence is growing so are the poses I am willing to try. Dressing and undressing photos were a something new. In the past I have been, and still am, self-consciousness. Pictures of me putting jeans on? Would it look like I am squeezing into too small of a size? Do I really have a butt that will look cute doing this, or is it too flat? The pictures though are great!!
Recreating one of Nicole’s self-portraits, hanging upside down off the bed. Super awkward to shoot. I was so worried I was going to fall face first into the concrete. How ridiculous must I be with my butt up in the air like this? The answer was an epic photo and it ended up being one of my favorites!
As the afternoon went on, the light in the studio began to change. It was perfect for playing with shadows and silhouettes. This was something I was really looking forward to. We had a great time and shared so many laughs during this. Shadows, as you know can be like fun house mirrors at times. Moving to the wall and away from the wall, rotating to get things perfect. My favorite picture was captured here.
As I think back over the past few years of my life, I never would have imagined I would describe pictures of myself as sexy, hot or smoking. The past couple shoots with Nicole have changed that in so many ways. I find myself using those adjectives with confidence. I am looking forward to the next shoot. I am already looking for new ideas and inspirations!
