Her plant people are her way to express feminine empowerment (that’s not to say these portraits are for women exclusively; I know a few guys that would make glorious flowers!)
In conversations, it’s easy to learn that art is such a huge part of who Jenise is. From the start, her mom, a painter, taught her to find beauty in every moment; she taught her the color wheel and color theory. In everyday life, Jenise finds any way to get creative: from handlettered notes in her husband’s lunchbox or dry erase art on the bathroom mirror and everything in between.
