Boise, Idaho Boudoir | Miss T
There are a few questions I hear fairly often. One of which is, “When should I book my boudoir?”
Let me preface this by saying that, if you have a deadline (think a birthday gift to yourself, an anniversary, or some other occasion), tell me straight away because that can significantly alter the timeline for your experience.
That said, as a general rule, booking out 2-3 months out is always encouraged. And, while it seems so far away, there is good reason to plan ahead.
Because I take only two clients each week (plus Tushy Tuesday), there is limited availability. I do this because I enjoy giving each women that I work with my full attention. A boudoir shoot is an experience, not a quick thing. It’s an investment in yourself and should be savored.
I want you to really think about how you want your session to feel and benefit from your boudoir, enjoying it all and not feel harried in any way. I also reserve your spot with the area’s best hair and make-up artists and they can sometimes book up quickly. And we need time to plan your wardrobe. You are always invited to scope out the Lilac & Fern Closet but most women choose to borrow a few pieces and bring some new things of their own and, that often means waiting for deliveries from websites.
Then, of course, is design and delivery time. After you see your photos and choose your album or art of choice, I sit and design everything custom for you and that turnaround time can vary as well, depending on which products you’re ordering.
This year, there is an extra reason to plan ahead. I have planned trips to Colorado and beyond (hello Boston and Alaska in 2019 and 2020), essentially creating blackout dates here in Boise. And, for two of the three Colorado dates already released, all those spots are filled. So, planning ahead, even further out than 2-3 months is never a bad thing.
If you have any specific questions, I encourage you to reach out and ask. I’m here to not only create art with you but to be a resource so take advantage of that.
