Boise, Idaho Boudoir | Miss A

Three things I say to you when we’re working on posing during your boudoir:

  1. Pop that booty out!  Seriously, there is a way to do it and a way not to do it and I’m happy to show you how.  Trust me, it makes a difference!
  2. Look at me (the camera) or look at your body.  No staring off into space.  So, while some photographers do that, I don’t.  I want you to look and be engaged in the image being created and it just can’t happen if you’re looking at something obscure and out of the frame.
  3. Probably the most important: No Negative Self-Talk!  So, not posing per se but related to posing for sure!  If you’re headspace isn’t in it, your body won’t be.  So, if I hear you being unkind to yourself during a shoot, I’ll gently remind you that my studio, or wherever we happen to be shooting, is a safe space where negativity is banned.  Only high vibes in my zone!  As an off-shoot to this, I challenge you to compliment yourself at least once each day in the week leading up to your boudoir.  Make it sincere and do it first thing when you get up; pause when you first wake to look in the mirror and remind yourself of how fabulous you are and it can be related to your looks or to an accomplishment or an act of kindness.  Either way, make time to show yourself some love.
