Northern Colorado Intimate Portraits | Hair & Make-Up
“Boudoir can be scary enough, knowing my hair and make-up is done well makes me feel like I have one less thing to squirm and worry about.”
-Miss I
I’ll be totally honest here and admit that when I first began boudoir, I didn’t treat the women I worked with to professional hair and make-up. And it showed. It’s not that they did a bad job on their own, but there is a difference between everyday styling and photo styling. And most of us, myself very much included, don’t know how to apply make-up that translates well to the camera. Add in the need to have colors (eyes, blush, and lips) that flatter the vibe of your shoot and it’s a task and a half!
So I did the work of finding the best hair and make-up artists in Northern Colorado and then Boise and made sure everyone in front of my camera worked with only the best. Having one team in each location, you, as my client, know exactly what you’ll be getting when you show up. (See the links below!!)
Once hair and make-up became a part of every Signature Outdoor and White Sheet, the game changed! It benefitted the women I work with tremendously.
These days, not only is it one less task for you to worry about, it creates a fun block of time to chat while you get dolled up so we can get to know each other more, creates the opportunity for you to try a slightly different look (but still feel and look like yourself), and helps pump you up for your shoot. So, while you’re in front of my camera, you’ll be thinking less about how you look (because you’ll know you look your absolute best) and focus on feeling your finest.
And, let’s be real, at the most basic, who doesn’t like to be fussed about?
