The further into my boudoir journey I find myself, the more in tune I become with what fills my soul and, the more I jive with my purpose, the more I resonate with the women that gravitate toward my work. The connection and understanding of the boudoir experience becomes so much more than just photos in lingerie or a gift for someone else; it truly is a gift for the self, one that can not be compared.
Last month, I was lucky enough to be able to choose a handful of women and a fella from a slew of applicants to shoot in a slightly different style than what I am used to and, though there is that thread that ties all of my work together, the pieces I’ve created are different enough to push the envelope and I love it. That said, without getting too lofty, I am officially open to incorporating more of this style into any session with Lilac & Fern. Because, as I encourage everyone that works with me to push themselves a little outside their comfort zone, I, too, need to push myself creatively.
